If you are completely scared and if you get on a plane you will die of fright then, DRIVE! Ha ha
If you aren't then just go! To conquer your fear you must go on the plane. You cannot get over your fear by listening to people tell you it isn't scary. You have to learn for yourself. Just do it! I know you will love it. Flying is part of going to places, it is part of the experience. |

Knowledge is power, get to know the most you can about planes, read and study how safe air travel is. Go to an airport and watch how many airplanes take off and land every day. I fear flying as well, however when i fly weirdly I enjoy just feeling how potent airplanes are and am so affascinated. Airplanes will take you safely anywhere you want to go and will do so in the fastest way possible. Do not avoid planes. rather overcome your fear of planes! The article below has many tips especially if you fear turbulence. |

take a long haul flight eg LAX to AKL. The flight is long enough that unless you are truly scared (ie medical phobia) you will find it is simply too long a flight to worry about. Also, the big planes dont move as much so much nicer and smoother. |
