Im so afraid to get on a plane. help?

I thought that you were awesome. However, consider why you have these feelings.

First of all, you will be getting IN the plane.
Second, you will be safe.
Third, it will take less time to fly than to take the train.

You are safer in a commercial aircraft than in your own bathtub. More people die in bathtubs than in commercial aircraft, More people are killed in cars hit by trains than in commercial aircraft.

You have about as much chance of being in an aircraft incident as you do being hit by a fish dropped by an eagle. Tell me, when was the last time you even SAW an eagle?

Millions of people every day board aircraft and fly in them to destinations around the world without incident. Most of them actually enjoy the trip, too. You can, too, provided you just relax and remember what I have told you here.

1---Get on the plane and be miserable

2---Get on the plane and not be miserable

Take deep even breaths before you get on the plane and during take-off. It happens to everyone with their first time. To overcome the fear is to face the fear by actually getting on the plane. Try bringing some things to do to distract yourself. Chew some gum too. If none of these things work why not have your brother carry you on the plane himself and strap you down while covering your mouth to keep you from screaming. Try something!

It is such a common thing to be afraid of but the safest way to travel, just face your fear. You dont want this holding you back when you are older, if you go this time each time after that will be easier, good luck!

Hey don't worry. Flying is by the safest form of transport. Aircraft and airlines have very extensive safety regulations that they have to meet / comply with and they get into huge trouble if they don't. As a pilot myself i can honestly say that flying in a plane is nothing to worry about (Honestly you have no idea how many precautions we take). Just relax, flying on a plane is fun (if a little boring on long-haul flights). I recommend looking out the window and daydreaming and before you know it the flight will be over.

Why? Theres nothing wrong with planes.
You have a higher chance of getting in an accident on the way to the airport than getting in a plane crash.
Bring your ipod, or take something so you can sleep the whole time . Make it something to look forward too. They always show movies and stuff on the plane as well.
There is nothing to be afraid of, seriously.

Isn't flying or airplane the safest way to travel? Member that. Just don't think of being on an airplane, it's quite easy actually just talk with someone, it will take your mind away from it. I'm not to good on this subject since I love airplanes and just love the turbulence since I was little, even once the pilot came and rocked me to sleep when I was like 1 so I think I've had fairly good experiences.
