They are a new airline company, but they are safe. As safe as their fleet of Boeing airlines can be.
Good service too, so good that Boba Fett will ignore the bounty on Richard Branson! |

Virgin America (which is the airline that is being asked about, not Virgin Atlantic) has not started flying yet. |

Virgin America, yes Virgin America is a new "luxury" low-cost airline operating Airbus A320 aircraft out of San Francisco for their main base, and they just recently started selling tickets for their first flights on August 8th.
The airline is part of Virgin Group by Sir Richard Branson which also owns Virgin Atlantic Airways.
The airline got approved by the authorities so it's a safe airline. The airline will have economy class and first class on the Airbus A320 aircraft, along with PTV equipped with the next generation "RED" system at every seat.
Overall, If I could fly the airline, I certainly would it sounds great! Also it was authroized to start flying in August so It's safe. |

Ok. most people here don't know that Virgin America will start flying in August 8th within the US.
Same company owns the other Virgin airlines. |

Nope, they purposely try to crash 1 in every 10 flights just to keep people on their toes.
If they are approved to fly in the US, then yes, I would assume that they are safe. |

They are great...I have never heard anything bad about them...they are owned by the same guy that does all the other Virgin stuff (the phones, the record company, etc.). It is a pretty trust worthy company. |

Hard to say, they are just starting to fly on August 8, 2007. So they do not have even a safety record to go by. Brand new airline. |

Doesn't anyone here do any resarch before answering? That being said, Virgin America has been given the OK to sell tickets for flights that will (tentatively) begin Aug. 8 if all other regulatory benchmarks are met. They will be flying brand-new Airbus aircraft which to date have a good safety record. Personally I prefer Boeing planes but will probably try Virgin America at least once. If the DOT wasn't convinced they were ready to fly safely they wouldn't have allowed the ball to start rolling so to speak. |

Assuming you mean Virgin Atlantic, they are great, we love them, and always fly with them unless some other airline is offering a deal that's too good to pass up! |

Safe and excellent service. I would fly them everywhere if I could. It's Virgin Atlantic, though. |
