Yeah you shouldn't have any problem with just showing your passport, it's legally issued by the government so it's not like your lying about who you are.

Very much so. I know in some states a passport will be accepted as valid ID over a drivers license. Just make sure your photo is recent (i.e. suggestion is to update photo every 5 years).

Yes you should be okay unless they have a written policy stating that a passport photo will not be acceptable.

Any item issued by the goverment with a photo on it is considered valid ID. However, you can also use a school ID when traveling if it has a photo on it.
Passports are always required when traveling.
