sometimes the prices are lower to book now...later and closer to the date the prices are up....also...ask about their price policy if the price is lower than you buy in for...some will refund a price difference or give a ticket voucher.

Depending on where you're traveling from, you may want to book it with a travel agent. Some agents will secure you a seat on an international flight without ticketing it for some time.
Airlines can still change flight schedule and cancel your flight between now and October. I would book it early September.

2 answers to this one is if you book it early you can find all kinds of deals and take the best deal and trust me so many of them around you can save tons of money on flights but then number 2 answer is if you book at the last min you can get a great discount on stand by but then you take a chance of not getting the flight you want but if you have the time and dont mind waiting its a good cheap way by going on stand by trust me did both so good luck and stay safe bye 4 now.

my experience is the earlier the better. i've also heard tips about doing it between 12a-1a on wednesday in the time zone of the airlines headquarters to get cheapest price.

Now. With these gas prices now is the absolute best time. I just bought tix to Syria. If I would of baught them in May then they would cost around $1,900 each ticket for me and my family. No doubt in my mind buy them now.

Definately in advance hun. I had flights to malaga from cardiff Â£16 (out of season)

Out of curiosity looked closer to the date at they wer Â£95

I would book them closer to October but dont leave it too late becuase there could be no spaces left or if there is a problem you would have less time to rebook. Prices will go down closer to the date of travel but the risk factor goes up. Pick a predictable airline! Hope the wedding goes well.

try booking it 1-3 monthes before the event ...
then you wont have to worry about it ...

by rights prices should increase if you wait to long. this sometimes depends on the flight provider but as a generalization i find it easier to book around three months in advance sometimes even sooner so i know the flight doesn't fill.

if you book it now, you'll have a chance to cancel if you find a better deal
if you book it later, chances are it will either a)be cheaper b)crappy seat c)be expensive d)no available seats (depending how many seats you are booking)

It depends, usually the prices go down when you get closer because they're trying to fill the plane, but you also run the risk of the plane getting filled up, and you not being able to get a seat. Are there multiple flights you can take in case the one you need gets filled up? If yes, then wait for the prices to go down, if not, then book soon.
