Is it better to purchase an airline ticket online or on the phone? |
I wanted to purchase it over the phone since I'm only 15.. and dont want to purchase it online and end up not being able to go through the day my flight takes off..
And then I want to purchase it online because of more convinent prices.
So which is better , or do you suggest I do? |

It's best to check both. Sometimes they have online deals the phone agents don't know about, and sometimes the phone agents have deals online doesn't. Check both prices then purchase! :) |

Online may be cheaper. Some airlines may have an extra charge for telephone service. Also, note that many airlines may offer you a credit if you purchased your ticket at a certain price, and then they lower the price. It depends on the airline. Ask in advance when purchasing your ticket if they will issue you a credit difference if the price of the ticket drops.
You can always call & ask questions; then go online.
What do you mean "not being able to go through"? If you are online; you will receive a confirmation email with a confirmation number. You will need the email printed and the number to get processed at the airport.

I'd purchase over the phone. That way you can explain your situation and have them fill you in on certain details. Make sure you get the names of the people you're talking to that way if they give you false information you can let people know who told it to you. |

if you are using a credit card, yours or your parents, just do it online. if you are using miles, you probably have to do it by phone. |
