Is it okay to wear Sweats on a Plane?

I have a 12 hour flight coming up and jeans are so uncomfortable for that long to be sitting.

Sure....I've done it before. Nobody gets bent out of shape over it. Besides, you'll probably never see these people again in your life anyway, so go for it.

Absolutely OK, but please, make it a decent pair, not one that have holes the size of grapefruits.

Thanks

Neo
Of course! Why the hell not?

A lot of people change into sweats on the plane for a long flight and back before landing. It is perfectly normal, and you look decent when you are on the ground.

An alternative (and what I do) is to have a pair of loosely cut pants for travelling. Mine are microfibre cargo pants with lots of pockets. They look OK on the ground, and are comfortable in the sky.

There is nothing wrong with wearing sweats for a 12 hour trip. The important thing is to be comfortable. You can wear sweats and not look like a slob. I like to look respectable when traveling, but being comfortable is key!! If you are worried that people will look down on you, don't. You will never see them again, and if they are making faces at you, it's because they are jealous. They wish they were comfortable! Enjoy your trip!

Of course.
And if you're not sure, call the airport.

yes, but i have to warn you that the service you'll receive will be subpar. unfortunately, people judge you on the way that you look, especially in the airline biz.

free upgrade to first class/ better seat assignment? nope.
will the agent be willing to help you out as much? nope.

unfortunately, when i wear jeans at the airport i notice a huge difference than when i wear a business suit. i look young so they treat me like some clueless casual traveler and push you around instead of helping you out.

once, an agent denied an alternate booking when a flight was cancelled. i changed in the bathroom into a suit and changed my hair and the same agent did exactly what i asked without saying anything....
