Of course you can buy a ticket at the airport, but they know you are usually desperate to get on that flight and therefore charge the full list price!
Use all the price comparison sites like the rest of us to find the best deal.
If you want go for Christmas you are going to pay a high rate as the airlines know they can sell every seat, so they don't need to discount to sell the seats!

You could do it, but it's likely to be MORE expensive not cheaper. The reason Jamaica is so expensive at Christmas is because lots of people want to go there then.

Sure you can buy a ticket at the airport airline counters but I wouldn't wait like that. Purchase it ahead from the phone or net or travel agent.
