Yes, very safe, the risks of crashing while traveling on an airplane are way overrated. Those risks are actually very low.

Read the statistics: you have a chance of 1 in 11 million to crash.

Also just read the entire page, you'll be over your fear in no time.

didnt u read about the Span air crash yesterday - basically the plane exploded while taking off - it was on the ground and skidded off!!
150 of 164 passengers died.

imagine what would have happened if it exploded mid air!!

to your question - air travel is the safest mode of transport. research says this

Depends: International flights are so nice if you choose the right one. In your case, it will be safe ( don't worry about that plane crash in Madrid ) because your flight can't possibly get booked. LOL

a lot of people are afraid of going on planes and that's perfectly normal
you see thousands of people and more go on planes all the time and they're okay
of course there's a small chance that something bad might happen but what's the chance of that?
but when you say fly an airplane u mean riding on an airplane rite?

Yes! It is always safe to fly in an airplane. Air travel is the safest way to travel nowadays. =]

Jane
It is safe to fly an airplane if you have a pilot's license.

It is safer to ride in an airplane than it is to drive to your destination.

Safer than it is to sit in your bathtub at home.
