Check out this link. http://www.airlinequality.com/Airlines/swest.htm
It shows a rating for this airline and every other airline in the world.
Southwest is rated 3 Stars outta 5, Which is pretty high for a low cost airline

I think you are mixing up airlines
its AMERICAN airlines have the problems not southwest
(although southwest did have some miscommucation with
the FAA about how often their planes (solved now) were
to be inspected..

Southwest is a safe airline.

They provide no frills, and have can have rude cusomter service, but they are still very safe. Infact I think they have the best saftey record in the world.

In my experience, Southwest is the best airline to fly. Their customer service is awesome, their flight attendants are fun and comical. Statistically, they are the safest airline to fly, they have never had an accident. I made the mistake of flying American a couple of years ago, and will never do it again. Southwest has snack packs with good food in them, free drinks, plus they pass around peanuts and pretzels the entire flight. I love it!

Haven't heard of them having problems and I work in the airline industry. Southwest is safe to fly.

They did have some problems with inspections and planes flying longer than they should but everything should be all right. I have not issues flying with Southwest.

Southwest has the best long term safety record of any major US airline - better than American, Continental, Delta, Northwest, United, and US Airways. Don't worry about it.

Yes, it is. I have flown 3 times in the past couple of months, and it was all on Southwest. No problems.

I fly Southwest frequently. They are very safe to fly with.
