Is it safer to fly at daytime or night?

Somebody says the air current in the night is stronger than in daytime.
Is that true?

That is true. on second thoughts I might add, that the story of the Polish-Air force trying to get a manned spacecraft to the sun, would be in jeopardy if they didn't fly by night.

Jack Torrance you're making fun of the best question this morning.

I always like to think that the pilot might be awake so I guess the daytime is safer when they are just stoned and drooling.

All cabin crew say they have had thousands of safe flights. You never hear from the ones that crash and burn. See what sort of response you get if you try to take a parachute as hand luggage.

About the same, the same can happen both at night or in the day.

Whether that point about air current is true or not I don't think it matters. Plane crashes and air disasters happened any time of the day.

I have flown during the day and during the night and I am still here, aren't I?

band_camp_dork
The navigation computers onboard the aircraft work the same at night as they do in the day. You'll be fine =)
