You can lock your luggage as long as you use TSA approved locks. If you visit the website http://www.tsa.gov/ they have the approved locks. If you do lock your luggage with something else they will just break the lock open and put a piece of paper stating that they needed to break the lock for inspection (happened to my golf clubs last time I traveled) |

My brother just flew to the USA from Australia. He had locks on his bag. The best thing to do would be the call the airlines and check for yourself. Good Luck and Happy Travels! |

I never knew it was - but if they're gonna get into it, they're gonna get into it - so it doesn't really matter. |

Yes, they are still checking bags if they're questionable, and if you have it locked, they will break your suitcase trying to get in.
You can use those plastic zip ties, that way the TSA agents can cut them if need be. |

Use those plastic zip ties so that no one can drop stuff into your bags, but remember you will need something sharp to cut them off at your destination and your not allowed scissors or anything sharp on the plane. Have a nice trip.......... |

Yes, other way they break the lock for checking. |

you can lock it if you want but they will just open it unless you have one of those locks that can be open by the security people and then put back on |

you can lock your luggage using approved TSA locks - airport inspectors have a special key to unlock them without cutting them off. (airline employees do not have this key)

Either not locked or locked with a special TSA approved lock. |

Yes, but if you are worried about losing your luggage, secure the zippers with a twist tie so that it is still accessible and you won't have a lock cut off. |
