Is it stupid to buy plane tickets 7-8 month in advance? |
I am going to Europe this may with some friends.I have found roundtrip plane tickets from Dallas to Europe for 650$ I belive that this is an incredible deal and that the sooner summer nears the more expensive prices will get. My mother keeps telling me that..."Its not a smart idea, you dont know where you will be in 8 months or what can change in your life" and that "better deals will come" I just dont know. and I will be getting travel insurance with the tickets. |

That's an awesome deal.
I always try to buy tickets as soon as I know my travel date possibilities. They do get more expensive as time goes on, except for last minute tickets- but I'm sure you don't want to wait around at the airport at the last minute to see if a seat opens up.
It's true- anything can happen in 8 months, but since you're getting travel insurance (which isn't THAT expensive), you're covered if you get too sick to travel. |

i would do it considering you have travel insurence that comes with it there shouldnt be a problem then. |

well if you can confirm your dates now, why not? You might want to check the restrictions for the tickets before you confirm it, so that just in case you need to make admendments, you know how much you'll be paying for the changes, where/how to pay it or whether it can be change at all. |

No, it 's not stupid; it 's really smart, especially since you are getting the travel insurance...And if something just happens to come up and you are not able to go, I 'm sure you can sell the ticket (and maybe even make a little profit).... |

When it comes to booking flights, the sooner, the better. For a very nominal fee, you can get insurance which will allow you to make changes if something unforseen prevents you from traveling prior to your scheduled time. |

No it's smart. If you wait any longer the ticket will sky rocket and there may be no seats left.
Don't listen to your mother. Just make sure you can go at those dates! Good luck! |

well if something happens, then you can always turn them in. and you wont have to book later. the only trouble is remembering that youll be going. |
