Yes and No:
Liquid drinks that are purchased inside the secure area of the airport may be taken aboard the aircraft. You are not allowed to bring liquid drinks through security. However there are exceptions.... See below (also check out the new carry on rules):
Exceptions To Liquid/Gel Carry-On Allowance (must be declared to TSA upon entering the checkpoint)
Breast milk, baby food, fruit juice (if a baby or small child is traveling)
Prescription medications
Essential non-prescription medicines, such as over-the-counter cough medicine
For diabetic passengers, liquid/ gel medications or juice to address their medical condition
Travel From/Within The United States:
Carry-On Allowance
Passengers traveling within the United States may bring through the security checkpoint travel-size toiletries (3-ounce container or smaller) that fit in one, quart-size, clear plastic, zip-top bag (see an example at right). The bag must be completely closed/sealed and must be submitted for inspection separately from other carry-on baggage.
Examples of allowed toiletries include the following:
Lotion
Mouthwash
Perfume
Shampoo
Toothpaste
Eye care products
Additionally, travelers may bring onboard the aircraft duty free purchases, beverages and other items purchased in the secure area of the terminal. |

I heard the same as the one who said you can buy after the checking at security, glad to hear some info on diabetics as I thought I'd have a problem with subscription medication. I presume a doctor's letter to accompany the medication will be in order as well. |

Most companies have laxed it to a certain amount you can take liquids now. call ahead and check with your provider. |

If you buy it after checkpoint you are okay. If you pack it in your checked bag (for the person with the wine question) that is also okay. |

You can bring drinks onto planes only if they were purchased within the secured zone. You know, from the stores that charge $5 for a 16.9 oz. bottle of watter.
You can bring some liquids onto planes if they are under 1 oz. such as hair gel and etc.
I would recommend that you don't use your garbled English around the terminal in order to prevent suspicion. |

i think it all depends on what airport your leaving from. this security thing is so flaky. i recently went thru one airport and they said no liquids aboard the plane. but when i departed from another northeastern aiport - they saw my water bottle in plain sight in my purse. but said nothing about it at all. so...... |
