Is it possible, Yes. Is it a good idea, No.

My father in law just had an MRI that showed his carotid (artery in his neck) was 100% blocked on one side and 90% blocked on the other. He flew last September from the Washington to the east coast and back. He had surgery to clear the blockage a week or two ago.

wouldn't you be dead if one of your arterys was blocked?

Check with a doctor.

I think it would be classed as hardening of the arteries. If something happened abroad your insurance wouldn't cover it as it was an illness you had before you left. - my father had this for years before he died and it didn't stop him from flying to Spain every year,

do you mean severe artherosclosis? if it was completely blocked you would not be here. Suggest you have a word with your doctor.

Clint
depends on what the problem is?
