Is there a certain way to pack clothes/shoes into a suitcase, to make it not so heavy?

Additional Details
What's the best way to distribute the weight? Like clothes on top shoes on bottom, or vice versa.

Only pack clothes that you need and make sure you mix and match your outfits.

Are you for real?

No matter how you pack your shoes and clothes into a suitcase, they're still going to weigh the same. You can arrange them in a way to make more room, but that's something you just have to keep trying to see what works the best.

Paul
Weight is weight, you cannot beat it down into nothing.

I recommend that you make a serious effort to choose only the items you know you'll wear. Take 1 extra change of clothes and nothing more.

If this is a vacation try packing all your old underwear. Stuff that is just short of being used for rags. Then, while on the trip, throw your old underwear away as you use it. This way you create space for souvenirs and you don't come back with an overloaded suitcase!

wicked jester
yeah don't pack everything in your closet

Mitchell B
Weight can not change. Logic. How you pack only determines how much the wieght will be. More or less.

eMale
No, but there are ways you can pack it to put more in and make it heavier.

tell me all!!!
i doubt we can make mass magically disappear... lol. but i do usually try to put heavier stuff, like heels, on the bottom of hte suitcase, and light stuff on top. i don't think that changes the weight of it tho.

The weight is not going to change no matter which way you pack. The difference in packing is to give you more volume!

Probably what you want to do is to pack the heavy stuff at the bottom of the suitcase when you stand it up. This will make it easier for you to pull it upright rather than have your suitcase tumbling all over when yuou are pulling it.

Weight-wise, carry what is necessary and avoid too many unused items. This is the only way to make your suitcase light.

mumtazmahal
The weight is not determined by the way you pack your suitcase. It is determined by the amount of clothes/shoes you are packing into your suitcase.

lauren london
No. No matter how you pack it...it's still going to weight the same...DUH
It's like what weighs more, a ton of feathers or a ton of bricks?

You probably don't get that either...

xsandybreezerx
yeah don't pack so much!

mikewonaus
This is pure entertainment!
No! It's not the 'way'' it's packed; it's the 'weighT' that it's packed!
