Not that I know of Mate - and I would also like to add "why not? Why do we smokers allow ourselves to be dictated to and bullied in this way?!" |

As far as I know, there aren't any airlines that do. Certainly no US airlines do - the US government bans smoking on US airlines and any airlines that fly to/from the US. Same goes for the European Union. There might be a few third-world airlines that still allow it but I am not aware of any specifically. But basically, no major airlines allow it. |

Since federal regulations forbid smoking on US airlines, and airlines flying from a US port, then it's a pretty safe bet that the answer is NO. |

I have heard (never confirmed it though) that Aeroflot (Russia) still allow smoking. From what little experience I have had of meeting Russians, smoking might even be mandatory :-)
<Later edit> Aw, sh*t Marty, you've missed the boat (so to speak!). Aeroflot banned smoking on all flights on April 1 2002, although it sounds like you might still get away with a quick toke in the lavs! |

Some minor local shuttles in 3rd world countries maybe, but no major airline allows smoking on its flights now. |

i think they have not allowed smoking on planes for a while now
especially with the new smoking laws saying no smoking on business premises as the aeroplane is the business |

No it is now illegal to smoke on any plane run by any airline. if you are a smoker, and going on a long haul flight, you can buy cigarette simulators that are meant for people stopping smoking, but they at least give you something to do with your mouth and hands to ease the craving |

Maybe some third world airline, but none of the major carriers....you would no doubt find one in Africa somewhere... |

No. That's an honest answer. And by the way - we're not a 'lobby' we're the majority. Grit you teeth and learn to live with it. I had to learn to live with other peoples filthy horrible smoke when I first started flying......If I could put up with it you can put up without it. |

Not on international flights. Some Mickey Mouse airlines may allow it on domestic routes, but certainly not in Europe, North America and Asia. |

hey, if you want to put some money into it, there is one would-be startup airline which will accommodate you:

I respect your right to smoke! Just don't exhale, please. |

I don't know the answer.
But I wondered: if there is, would it have to tell passengers to stop smoking every time they flew over airspace of countires that have banned smoking in public and business premises - which is probably most of the EU? |

No. there is a world wide ban on every airline. the PC lobby finally got their way. why can't they leave us alone ? |

I understand certain flights operated by Aeroflot still allow smoking on their flights but cannot confirm this. |

No. The government has prohibited it in the US. Overseas, some airlines were allowing it, but that was a few years ago, I don't know if that is still true. |
