They will cut you off if they believe that you are becoming intoxicated. Some passengers get on already looped and can be denied even one drink regardless of class. I suppose you could drink from coast to coast if you behave and the attendant is fine with it. |

I think they judge it person to person. . . there is no way they could test you - so as long as you're being well behaved and not acting too drunk - you should be fine :) |

I don't think that there is a set limit as to how much alcohol you can serve a passenger, I believe it is up to the discretion of the flight attendants - just like it is at the discretion of the bartender to decide when you are shut off. You don't want to get drunk on an aircraft, because of what if the there was an accident you would be too drunk to know what to do. |

Only if they can spot that you are already drunk. I remember once; a man was so drunk, he was sick all over himself. I mean he was covered in it from head to foot.
On arrival, they made him sit in his seat until last. Everyone filed past and stared at him. It stank so badly.
Not sure how he could show his face for the return home...but he did. |

Not as a rule no, that said if you get loud and abusive you stand a good chance of having the police waiting for you on arrival. Certainly on long haul flights i'm sure the hard working attendants would rather you had a few drinks and fell asleep!
Cabin crew certainly have the right to refuse to serve anyone if they think they've had too much. |

As many have pointed out, it's at the discretion of the flight crew. They will cut you off if you become disorderly, and they'll also cut you off if you are getting to a point where you are a liability--- meaning if you're drunk enough that you can't escape in an emergency and would require someone to help evacuate you. |

Nope, the airlines encourage passengers to get rip-roaring drunk on all their flights. Flight crews actually earn points toward their annual bonuses based on how many passengers vomit while deplaning. |

i think as long as your not drunk and disorderly your fine. |

Dont think there is a limit as in the likes of the drink-drive limit, but its at the discrettion of the cabin crew to decide when you have had enough ( or when they think you've had enough -which is usually a totally different thing!! ) |

Absolutely there is! If you get drunk, they can arrange for you to be arrested when you land. |
