Hi Lottie! As most of the other answerers have pointed out, each flight operator has their own rules. Also, remember as You are under 16 You will need a letter from Your parents giving their consent to You leaving the UK. As an alternative to flying, why not consider going by coach/ferry/train? You would have a more relaxed journey & get to see some of the country. You don't say whereabout in France You are heading for, but with Eurostar & local trains, You should be able to get anywhere within 24Hours.xx |

Each airline has a different policy, as the previous poster noted, but generally if youf child is under 16 your child will be flying as what is known as "an unaccompanied minor". I used to fly my son back and forth from Norway. There is also an extra charge - it ranged from $50 to $90, but they are supposed to get him on first, get him/her situated, and keep track of them in-between. |

Each airline has their own rules. Check with the airline you are likely to use for details. You're parents will have to sign for you and someone will be designated to retrieve you and sign for you upon your arrival.
This will also be dependent on the country of origin. |

Each airline has their own rules. British Airways, for example, have programmes that allow children as young as 5 to travel alone.
At age 15 you wont have any problems (I flew alone at that age - and that was a long time ago!). Just get your parents to call the airline to arrange things. You will actually get preferential treatment! I thought it was ace!! |

Depends if you have a pilot's licence! |

To fly alone in an aeroplane is very dangerous if you have not got your pilots licence.
Those planes can be very difficult to steer, parking is a nightmare and reversing very tricky.
If you do not know exactly where you are going it's easy to get lost and end up at the wrong airport.
I always think that it's best to have a pilot and navigator with you and an air hostess a pretty one. |

I think it's more airline specific, check the airline website, I've see quite a few with passenger under 14 must be accompanied by a Adult (16+ i guess) . A quick look at British airways shows under 12 as the limit so you should be fine... CHECK WITH YOUR AIRLINE.

You will be good enough to fly on an airline. Almost 95% of airlines state you must be atleast 12 years old. That's how it is when u select tickets online. |
