if your doctor gave it to you FOR a fear of plane riding then he should know what hes talking about. if you have any other questions about taking valium ask him.

overall, you will feel much better on the plane. a lot a lot of people take sedatives before flying. it makes you feel kind of groggy and out of it - like you just cant muster up the energy to care. overall youll be a lot calmer during the flight. its safe if used properly - if abused (as a barbituate) can cause tolerance and withdrawl

Valium is safe when taken by prescription. It's a medication that keeps you from feeling nervous.

I take them before dentist appointments. They're great. They relax you and make you calm- perhaps give a slight feeling of intoxication. Halcion is the best! Don't have any drinks on the plane and yes, it's safe. You will thank your doc.

ok. valum is generally safe. i am perscribed a very low dose daily. it is addicting. and alot of ppl use ,more then they should because you sometimes dont realize it is already working. if you already took the perscribed dose and feel no relief, stand up. it will hit you and you will feel the med working.
take it easy while your on it. it makes you very calm. almost litely drunk but not?
good luck....flying is very scary to me too

if you really need to calm down i would suggest a xanax - like .5 mg

valium, depending how strong it is, might not be a good idea if you aren't used to flying and/or pills

You will still be able to go on the plane, it will just make you really sleepy. It slows your heart rate, calms you down, and basically puts you to sleep. Just make sure that someone knows you are taking it. Hopefully you are travelling with someone who can wake you up and help you if you're groggy!

it will calm you down and make you feel better, worst case scenario is you will sleep the whole trip as long as its taken as prescribed you will be fine

Do not drink alcohole together with Valium! Or try Kava Kava, no side effects.

It's perfectly safe as long as you take the reccommended dosage, not taking more. It will make you feel really relaxed and mellow. For your first time, both with valium and with flying, I hope that you have someone to accompany you. You really need to have your wits about you if you are flying alone, so as to not get your luggage stolen or miss your flight. If you have someone else to take care of things, pop a valium, and enjoy the ride.

I highly recommend calling a Pharmacist and asking them! Call any Walgreens (I work in the Pharmacy at a Walgreens), and the pharmacist will be more that happy to help you! Find their number on walgreens.com then go to the store locator.

If you take this for more than a week, it can lead to withdrawal effects such as convulsions, I would have a work with your doctor first.

The thing I cannot understand is how you got hold of this stuff without seeing them.
Drugs like this can be dangerous unless they are from the correct source.

Be careful

I never advocate taking drugs and flying, because the change in altitude and pressure changes how your body reacts to drugs. You could become light headed and nauseous and maybe even faint. Your doctor knows more than I do, but I wouldn't take it if I were you.
