Because it's a DUMB RULE!!! Why in the name of all that's decent can't you take a bottle of water with you??? How can anyone justify duty free selling you bottles of alcohol, INSIDE the departure lounge, then you have to dump them because you're not allowed bring them on board??

no liquids over 100ml rule... is for your purfume, cologne, or etc...
it was not intented for drinking water because all of the airports have drinking water inside.... if you don't have any bottle you can buy after you have past the security checks...
alot of passengers where dismade because they were ask to trow the 100 dollars purfume, so airport security made that rule...
if a security will ask you to trow your water, you will not think twice. its just 1-2 dollars per bottle, but how about your purfume? im sure you will ask them why and tell them the cost of your purfume... |

You know that water can become a solid the rules clearly state that no liquids over 100ml but what about that 1 kilo block of ice I want to take with me. HMMMMmmmmmm.
I agree with you that the rule is stupid and should be removed but at least you can buy the expensive water in the secure area to take with you in most places. The last airline I flew (ZOOM) put bottles of water in all the first class seats for the pax it was a nice touch. |

There are very good reasons why liquids have been banned including water bottles.
Just stop and think about it...something has happen...the govt. has information about liquids in general that is not discussed with the general public.
Can't go into detail but folks need to just learn to deal with and understand there are very good reasons why such decisions were made even if you don't agree. |

You should have got a U...water IS a liquid.
They ban all liquids as it would be impractical to test each liquid to see if it was really only water.
There are many colourless , volatile liquids that look exactly like water.
Would you trust terrorists to only bring on water if it were allowed??...I wouldn't. Better be safe than sorry. |
