The Caribbean, relaxed island culture, imagine romantic walks along white sand beaches.... flights from the USA to Cancun (Mexico), Montego Bay (Jamaica), or Santo Domingo (Dominican Republic) are usually least expensive. You should pay for her ticket. If you can afford a ticket from the Middle East to the Caribbean, then it won't hurt you to pay for her ticket, too.

Where in the US is she? I would say Canada and Mexico are obvious places. There are a lot of romantic places in both of those locations. Also where are you located, more details would give a better answer.

If she is in Phoenix I would recommend somewhere in Mexico, perhaps the Mexican Riveria or Cancun? Both of those places are beautiful and a short hour or two flight for her.

beautiful beaches and serene, secluded huts to hang out in if you are the 'just two of us for days together' kind of people

no idea how you'll manage it now, they'll all be pre-booked because of christmas vacations coming up.

if you dont mind travelling to the US, there are lots of quite pretty and romantic getaways; will save your girl friend the hassle of travelling to another country, she can travel quite a short distance if its within the country, as compared to travelling outside the country.

I agree with Mexico, as flights would be quite cheep. Apart from that, if you want some old-world charm with some new-world ambiance then try heading to Montreal in canada. The people speak french and the has a distinctive charm to it. Umm, do not forget that there are many Caribbean nations that you can also get to for cheep. The Bahamas are close and will probably only be one connection flight away from her. Apart from that if you were considering going to someplace quite scenic, you could go to Costa Rica.

Cuba is a terrible answer to this question, as it's not legal for your girlfriend to travel there due to the US embargo on Cuba.

I'd suggest one of the resort towns in Mexico as being fairly convenient for someone in Arizona to get to.
