My cousin and i r going to Hawaii in March;I am worried with that long of a flight.?

That's not a long flight....
I've been on flights that lasted over 23 hours! Hey.... it's lot's of fun! What are you so anxious about?

You 'r' going? With a "flight.?" and you need somethign to take your mind off it "PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!"? Easy enough to do. I suggest you get a few of those grammar primers, and work through them as you fly.

You'll either get so much anxiety over dealing with proper grammar you'll forget about the plane ride, or you'll spend so much time learning that it will go by in a snap!

Anxiety solved - and other problems as well in one fell swoop!

it will really be ok. focus on the fantastic view from the plane and the people enjoying themselves on the plane. Bring a book to read or something and it will really be ok. think about the fun time you'll have in Hawaii and how much it will be worth it. Bon Voyage!

Hmm... reassurance...? Well, the trickiest part of flying is take-off and landing, so the length of flight logically should not make you more anxious.

Well it depends where you are flying from but just think, you will not regret it when you get there because Hawaii is really fun! Just relax, play some kind of game, watch the provided movie, or just sleep and the flight will be over before you know it!!!

I travel to Hawaii quite often, from Southern California,its about 5 hours. You'll have a better flight experience if your airline specializes in flights to Hawaii (Hawaiian Air, Aloha Air, etc.) In addition to the inflight movie, they show informative videos about Hawaii, like things to do and the local culture. This should calm your anxieties, if not, the ipod comes in handy, or if worse comes to worse, take benedryl an hour before the flight. hope you enjoy your trip! aloha!

Calm down. you'll be okay. Everything will be all right. Try some pills to help calm you down. Some pills can help get rid of your anxiety.

Well, everyone always says there's more chance of something happening to you in a car than in the air. Most anxieties about flying occur because people don't know what's actually happening in the cockpit/outside the plane, and don't know what's considered normal. Also the whole "I'm not in control" thing is scary.

I would suggest doing some research about what's considered normal for an airplane, or take a class/read a book. Most major airports have Fear of Flying seminars, so you can call them up and ask. I personally talk to a pilot friend of mine just to see what's going on.

Just bring something on the plane to do that will completely keep you engrossed - watch a movie, read a great book, listen to music, play video games.

Everything will be fine, and you're going to have a ton of fun in Hawaii.

Like many other things, thinking about it is the worst part. Flying is just not that big of an issue.

Calm down.The flight will probably be about 7 hours. The planes to Hawaii are nice and big, they have lots to do.

I suggest you take the window seat with you cousin and enjoy the view(unless you are afraid of height) . I've been to Hawaii twice and I was alone at my first trip ! But I love the part when the plane take off , it's so fun and I still get very excited every time when the plane take off, I find it is better than riding roller coaster ! I always bring books,magazines,watch movies.....etc !!! I couldn't sleep no matter where I fly to and I even took sleeping pills so, there's many way to occupy yourself and it help to distrack your attention so you wouldn't be so nervous. We(with my family and also my only son who is 8yrs old and never flown too) went to Tokyo Disney Land last year, guess what, when we aboard, my son just walk all the way to the washroom,it was a brave act to me ! And I let him decide what he want to eat and order his meal from the stewardess, and he also enjoy the moment when the plane take off with me . He was so happy to be independence and he enjoy the flight so much. Just rest and relax alright ? Have fun !
