you're not

make sure your weight is in proportion to your height

make sure you have good customer service skills (you can develop these by working in retail if you don't have any)

first aid skills are beneficial

any additional languages you may know are an advantage

basic knowledge of the route network (for the airline you are applying to) will be an advantage

all the best!

Yes and I know that Usairways hires "older" flight attendents. Their main hub is now Charlotte and they also own Piedmont air. Can't hurt to try looking into them. They normally advertise in the Charlotte newspaper and not online for attendents.

hun, it's 2007...if you're not already pursuing your dream, GO FOR IT!!! unless financial burdens are standing in your way, start researching the qualifications needed to become a flight attendant. based on watching 'airline' on A & E, I know that you must undergo a rigorous training course and pass a qualifying exam prior to receiving your 'wings'. believe in yourself and just do it. :P

econdrone
I have seen some older flight attendents on planes that I flew.....

Maybe they would hire someone older because perhaps not everyone likes young people...

Definantly not too old. I was actually just talking to a flight attendant the other day who started her career late like that. You're still young. My mom is 50 and in college right now. If you look around you will see plenty of flgiht attendants your age and older. Best of luck!

banana
Nope! You are still young for the industry. Many poople go into the F/A job after regular careers- in my class the average age was right at 40!

Of course not Tammi, go for it.

I don't think you are too old. You have to go to school for it and I am not sure they have an age limit.

Mr Bungle
Go for it , if you can handle the stress. The only problem is that I think they are only hiring homosexual men now.

thor_gare
It depends Tammi,I've seen older flight attendants in some flights but am not sure which airline,Some airlines i know they have an age limit.I hope u can make ure dreams come true!

manel
to be honest, you're too old to be a flight attendant. nowadays, 30 years old is considered 'old'...just check the classified ads and you will see what's their age criteria. but, if you will really want to pursue you dream more than anything...just try to apply at the airline...when you find the chance if they have an opening for the job...you've got nothing to lose if you try than regret it later that why you never try to apply for your dream job. good luck ;>
