It is probably safer now to fly than before. Besides I think the flights that you have to worry about are the ones flying in and out of the country

It is a lot safer to ride on planes now. But if your still nervous to fly, take a train. That is better.

Go to cheaptickets.com, order your tickets and go see your mom. If, you are that scared of flying, get some tranquilizers from your doctor.

go for it

Fly--if you don't the terrorists win.

I would be more worried about the plane malfunctioning and crashing than terrorist. You probably have more chance of the former happening.

Ash
It is much safer to fly now. Ever since that happened there is good security. I think that it is safer now.

im afraid of flying full stop! i cope with this(rightly or wrongly) with a few very stiff drink's!

vegasbill1963
it's o.k....you can fly now or george bush will kick their ***.

oovah
hijacking will never happen again. the passengers will revolt and take down anyone who makes the attempt.

Fly. Be happy for the added security lines. cooperate. and visit your mom.

L B
The important thing is to see your mom. You only get ONE mom! So there are other means of transport, try one of those, such as the train or bus.
BUT personally, I am more afraid of the bus station than I am the flights. As said earlier, if you don't fly, the terrorists win! GO SEE YOUR MOM!!

I HAVE ALWAYS FLOWN ONCE EVERY 4 YEARS, AND EVEN THO WHAT HAPPENED ON SEPT 11 WAS A HORRIBLE TRAGEDY I DO THINK IT IS SAFER TO FLY TODAY THAN B4. YOU HAVE MORE OF A CHANCE OF GETTING IN A CAR ACCIDENT THAT HAVING YOUR PLANE HIJACKED. I HOPE THAT YOU ARE ABLE TO GO AND VISIT YOU MOM, HAVE FUN

now_dead_ex-veldhoven_inhabitant
Be scared. Airport security have stepped up but knowing airport logistics as they are and as any terrorist might know, it's entirely possible to get 50 kg of explosives on board of any airplane unnoticed, either domestic or international.
