They suggest that you allow at least 3 hrs. prior to your departure time for international flights, you want to give yourself plenty of time to get through security and customs lines.

This may help to better gauge the time needed before your flight.

Depending on where you live, that time of morning is the yuckiest traffic hours.

Give your self at least 30 minutes more than normal driving time. An hour is better. Consider an accident tie up.
Arrive at the airport in time to park, check bags, and get through security.
That can take at least an hour with no time to spare.

Arrive early enough and if you have any free time, have another cup of coffee.

I'm in Houston, TX. I would leave at least 2 1/2 -3 hours to drive to International Airport and get through. That's not too much. Traffic here is a nighmare at that time.

You need to be at the airport to check in at least 2 hours before your plane leaves. That gives you plenty of time to get through security. I would rather spent my time waiting at the airport departure gate checked in than sleeping. Much less stress. Get up at whatever time it takes you to get there at the right time.Depends on how long it takes you to get ready and how far from the airport you live. Have fun on your trip. Travel safe.

I would say at around 4:00-4:20.

Then you get to the airport early, you check in ASAP, you could probably choose the seat you want...go through security if you wanted and then just chill for anohter hour or so.

I would leave home at around 3:30...3:45 at the latest.

It depends on how far away you live from the airport.
You are suppose to be at the airport 2 to 3 hours early to do all the check in stuff they have to do now.
Looks like you are going to be getting up very early.

how far away are you from the airport? you should be there 60-90 minutes early.

Personally, I would plan on being at the airport at least two hours prior to departure (so 4:20 a.m. at the latest).

If you're driving yourself, you'll need to factor in time to drive to the airport (I've no idea about your traffic patterns/volume), park your car, and then get from where you parked your car to the terminal. At 4:00 a.m. there may be a longer wait since shuttles usually don't run at the same intervals as they do at 8:00 a.m.

Make sure you have your passport, visa (if necessary), and all your travel documents with you. I travel quite frequently and always keep a folder with printouts of everything, and any notes (changes, person spoke to, date/time of call, etc.).

Depending on how big the airport is, you should allow 1-2 hours at the airport before your plane takes off. Better to be early than missing your plane!! Figure out how far away the airport is, how much time you take to get your things together, and then wake up at the according time. Have a good trip!

well it really depends on how long you take to get ready ex: take shower get dressed do your hair & make up. it also depends on how far away you live from the aiport. take all of that into consideration. you have to be at the airport atleast 1-2 hours before the flight so that you can get checked through security and board the plane.

Well since its international you want to be there between 90 mins and 2 hours before your flight. At that time of the morning you could probably get away with 90.

So i would get to the airport around 4.45 to 5. As far as how much time you need to get ready that is up to you. most people need about 45 min or so, and since you are about 20 min away I would get up around 330-345am.
