Nothin'... you should have thought about this earlier.
BTW... ignore the comments below. Some people are telling you that it's still okay because it has your picture and your info. The fact of the matter is that it is expired. It is no longer valid. |

TSA are not looking at the expiration date. Just You name (which must match your ticket) and your picture, which should match your face.
Just hope you are not driving with an expired license. You should have taking care of it once you received your renewal. Never know when you need a valid ID. |

bring a birth certificate for sure, or a passport if you have one and anything else that might have your name, picture, address etc. |

Use your passport or even birth certificate? |

What state do you live in? In Indiana you get free I.D cards and they take about 10 minutes to process. |

That's strange, because every state I've lived in gets you your license within a few minutes. Not sure why they would need 2-6 weeks to process yours.
Call the airline or the airport's info line to see if they'll take a birth certificate or another alternate form of ID. |

You maybe out of luck! but you could use a passport if you have one. Try to bring your birth certificate but they may still not let you fly depending on the carrier. You should have planned ahead and not waited to the last minute. |

Maybye with special circumstances like these, they will let their airport law enforcment guys check you out, if you arrive at the airport early... be sure and bring any type of evidence of who you are and where you live (bills, lease, etc.) Maybye they'll let you through. I'm sure they run into this daily. If you go the extra mile, perhaps they'll be reasonable. Good luck! Also, your paper reciept should validate your identity. If it's good enough for the police as a temporary, it should be okay for them, too. |

They won't hassle you, they just won't let you get on the plane if they choose not to. I wouldn't think it would matter that it's expired. It was issued by the state and it's got your picture on it. Cross your fingers. Small-talk the security person when they're looking at it and maybe they won't notice it's expired. |
