Please don't worry about it, you must have conquered your worst fears when you travelled in March. I bet you wondered what you were worried about when you got home. Well this time it will be just the same, except that you won't have the same views if you look out the window.
Your flight to Malaga will be in day light for at least half the journey, as you should take off around 6-15p.m. Enjoy it, have a read, watch the T.V., have a drink or a bite to eat & before you know it you'll be in Malaga. You will then have experienced landing in the dark, so you can then get on to the business of enjoying your holiday without concerning yourself about the flight home.
You must have enjoyed the Costa del Sol in March, to be returning again, so have a great holiday and an enjoyable flight. |

LOL look at it this way - the pilot wants to land safely as well!!! He probably has a wife and kids at home waiting for him. Actually, I prefer night landings cos the airport is generally much much quieter and you get through customs and baggage much quicker! |

I can understand the anxiety of landing in a plane at night, since you can't SEE the plane (or the runway) as well as in the
daytime.
However, there are fairly bright runway lights (which are CRUCIAL for the pilot to use in landing the plane - Remember, they have to be able to see the runway well in order to not land too hard or too fast). Also, there's lights on the wings.
If you want to get over this fear, I'd suggest getting a window seat...and just watch the plane as it makes it's descent and lands on the runway.
It's really not that bad....You'll be OK! :)

To be honest I prefer night landings, at least the pilots can see the runway all lit up better during darkness, I have had night landings in Singapore, Melbourne, Cuba and Dublin and all were brilliant and totally safe, have a great holiday. |

don't worry landing at night is just as safe as landing during the day.. The aircraft will follow a glide slope down to the ground. there will be lights inside the cockpit and also visually outside the airplane that will allow the pilot to fly the approach without being to high or getting to low..also it is easier to see the ground when it is all lit up!!! you have nothing to worry about!! good luck |

all the country runways are fine all with plenty lightings and flying in the plain is cool as the pilots have navigate radors so its all cool- i wouldnt worry just fall asleep as soon as you hit the plane lol
hope you have a safe journey |

Don't worry about the landing its generally the same for the pilots whether its day or night they will be following the instruments on the flight deck and signals from the ground. It is very seldom that airline pilots will do an approach and landing on visual they almost always do it on instruments.
Don't worry be happy, think about the sangria on the Costa del Sol or where ever you are going, get some sleep on the flight and you will be their before you know it and as right as rain. |

Landing is largely automatic these days don't worry. In 17 years of flying 4 to 6 times a month I've never had any problems.
Buy yourself some noise cancelling headphones and an MP3 player, load up your favourite music and read a good book. Let the driver, sorry pilot, do the work and worrying for you. |

Heya Darling! OK - I can see why you may feel anxious as you are'nt an experienced flyer, but believe me you have nothing to worry about. Landing in dark is considered by many pilots as easier and safer as there are high visibility lights marking an exact route on which to land. You'll find the whole experience a lot more peaceful than a flight during the day as most people sleep on these flights, and service from the crew is a little less intense with this considered! One thing to really keep in mind (and what a lot of people completely dont realise) is that the plane you will be travelling on will have done maybe 3 flights (or sectors as theyre known in the airline industry) to and from your desitantion before you get on - its a bit like a bus just travelling to and from one place, following the same route! The crew will have made that trip once or twice that day - it really is as routine as it sounds. What is considered to be a big experince to some passengers is everyday life to the crew - and if there was a degree of danger the crew simply wouldnt do the flight!! If you are still really worried - drop me an email and Ill talk ou through what will happen exactly on the flight to take the nerves away. People are scared of flying mainly because they are not in control of what is happening around them, and that they are in 100% unfamiliar territory, but its everyday life for me - its my workplace!! |

It might be easier landing at night because they have lights to guide them which are easier to see than markings. Just keep telling yourself that anyway! And remember, you've got more chance of being killed by a donkey than on a flight! Good luck. |
