If I can still carry stuff with me like a blanket and my cell phone and maybe some crackers, then sure, I suppose that's fine with me. Mothers of small children are going to have a hell of a time with that though

I work as cabin crew, and believe me, it is just being done for everybodies welfare. I'm sorry, but you can live without your gadgets and all necessary items are allowed onboard. Medication is allowed, as is baby milk/food. It's all for your safety onboard and you should appreciate the fact that everyone in the industry are pulling out all the stops to keep you safe.

I guess it depends how far you're flying. It's a real downer on the long distance flights but I always fly Singapore Airlines and they have great inflight entertainment anyway.

It's no big a deal on the short haul flights. I'll miss having my iPod but I'll manage for a couple of hours.

Security lines would be a breeze. However, people do need to carry medications on board as well as things to entertain themselves. I have to take a liquid (in a sealed container) medication that has to be kept a regular temperature. I don't know what I'd do if I couldn't bring it on board with me.

what difference would that make?? people already have a positive bag match with them..(their bags cannot travel without them)...and you can't take peoples medications and medical supplies and lots of other things away from them.

I think, as these terror cell are made up exclusively of those proclaiming to be muslims, it would be far simpler to exclude all muslims from all forms of public transportation.

What if the terrorist stowed the explosive liquid in the hold and had put in a waterproof Casio G-shock watch and had set the alarm to trigger it? (By the way, it can be done and is taught in several armed forces for soldiers to make an IED quickly)

We need to show future terrorists that we think and act and that the precautions we take will minimize the possibility. Not blindly do stupid stuff, thinking that will solve the problem.
