Online airfares, which on seems to be the most reliable or dependable?

I have tried Priceline, but when I click on their flights and try to book them, they always come back and say their participating airlines cant meet MY requirements. I am chosen their available options, its very frustrating. Anyone got any other avenues for airline tickets. FYI, I am going from BWI to San Diego last weekend in March
Thanks in advance

Travelocity is very good. At the very least, it will show you which airlines fly there, and then you can go direct to their websites for a better price.Often times it is only $5 more on travelocity, and they offer benefits, like being able to cancel.

I fly almost 100 times a year and ALWAYS book directly on the airline's website. I always check sites like expedia or orbitz.com to see which airline has the cheapest fares, then I go to that airline's website to book the flight. I always find the exact same fares, but the airline's website doesn't charge a booking fee (most other sites do) so it's actually cheaper, as well as more reliable, to go directly through the airline. Also most airlines guarantee that the cheapest fares are directly through them. Check the "low-fare" airlines too although those aren't always the cheapest.

expedia.com has been good to me. You may also want to consult a travel agent (gasp) in person!!!

they do not charge for consultation or services, and it is always nice to have a real person in front of you to answer any questions...

Good luck, and happy flying!!

I would suggest http://www.cheapoair.com/ , they offer great deals on airline tickets and my experience with them has been great.

Lillie
Go through the airlines themselves.

to cut through the deals, you should check out http://www.travelcuse.com to book your trip. the site is an aggregator which means it takes offers from various online sites and shows you the best deals. good luck!
