Pathetic customer service from a travel agent called "Discount premium club"? |
a month back I received a marketing call from a travel agent called "Discount premium club" and they managed to convince me to sign up for a two year membership worth £89 by promising to offer huge discounts on holiday packages. after signing up, whenever I call up the customer service, it is always put on hold and nobody picks up the call. I was frustrated by their customer service. I wanted to book flight tickets from them, but they never respond promptly. once or twice luckily I got hold of one of their call centre people and they told me they will get back in an hour, but ignored it again. I even tried sending emails to cancel membership, all my emails and calls are ignored. Is there anything I can do to get back my money?

I'm sorry to tell you this, sweetie, but you have been scammed by a telemarketer.
This happens a lot here in the States and the victims here are usually the elderly. (Because many are still so trusting.)
Here, we would make out a police report and give the case number to phone company and the local district attorney for investigation.
The bad guys are usually never caught, though.
Sorry this happened to you. Good luck in getting something back.
And if you gave them your credit card number, contact the card's customer service and report it right away! |

Contact your local Trading Standards office, and they will investigate for you. Sadly though, you may have answered your own question; if their phone number is invalid, and their emails are bouncing back, it seems you may have been the victim of a scam. |

Expedia.com, vacationsnbeyond.joystar.com, Orbitz.com
You can make a fraud report but how did you pay by credit card? Most cases if you pay by your credit card they will make a chargeback if you paid other then credit card your probably out of luck |

If I were you I would get in touch with Trading Standards and see what help or information they can come up with for you or maybe even get in touch with Watchdog via BBC, they might be very interested in running a story on the programme for you and that way anyone else who has unfortunately been sucked in by these people, good luck I hope you sort something out. |

I would say that you (and probably countless others) got scammed.
Here in the USA, we can report the business to the Better Business Bureau and our state's Attorney General's office. Do you have something similar to this in England? |
