Most of the time when I fly Business most of the people wear suits and ties.
I tired it once, so I could look all in place, but to tell the truth on a long haul flight it is very uncomfortable to fly with a suit and tie on.
Also the suit gets vewry wrinkled.
I suggest since you aren't meeting any clients just waer what is comfortable, expecially on a long haul flight to Hong Kong.
Who cares?
You won't be the only one without business attire. |

If you pay for a full business class airfare you can dress however you like :) Most people who travel for vacations and fly business class don't dress up, so if your meeting isn't till later than dress casually. |

I would not wear a suit. It will be a mess by the time your trip is over.
Gone are the days of dressing up to go on a plane.
Wear the most comfortable clothes you can. That is a long flight ! |

Just wear something comfortable, since many airlines offer lie-flat beds these days in business class, wear something that won't wrinkle easily as you'll be laying down and sleeping for a good portion of your trip. |

Business casual is alway appropriate... a pair of khakis, and starched shirt, and a blazer you can whip out, will get you though, because you never know when clients are going to change their minds and want to meet with you after you land. |

Dressing properly in business/first class is only important when you are looking for a free upgrade, otherwise for a long flight dress comfortable especially when you aren't meeting the clients.
We usually don't have to meet the clients on travel days and my company doesn't seem to care what we wear. My ex-brother-in-law's company did he had to wear jacket and tie when on the company's nickel. |
