Question?????

How do you know where to pick-up your luggage at an airport?

Mark or tag all checked luggage with something that makes them more distinct. An example would be to attach a strip of colored tape to each side of the bag. It reduces the chance someone might pick up your bag by mistake at baggage claim (there are millions of black suitcases). Also clearly tag ALL bags >>> inside and outside <<< with your name and a good phone number + e-mail address (but not your home address). The free tags from the check-in counter are OK.

Follow the signs to Baggage Claim once you are off the plane. Most airports have multiple baggage carousels (conveyer belts) and there is usually a sign or TV-type monitor that indicates which carousel your flight's bags will go on. Ask an airline or airport employee if you are not sure.

Collect your bag(s) and exit the terminal (usually by going out the doors marked "Ground Transportation").

Hope you have a good trip!

Traveler
Baggage claim carousel's are usually determined by flight arrival times. if a plane is late the carousel that it was going to use will be reassigned to another flight. so... You need to go the the Baggage claim area and check the monitors to see your flight number and then go to the Carousel specified. And you can always ask for help. They are usually nice about it. good luck

You ask the nearest person wearing a uniform.

Read the signs that say "Baggage pick up" or something similar. Or just follow everyone else!

look on one of the 10000 tv screens...find your flight..then next to it it will give you a luggage number like 1-8..then you just go find ur number and wait for your stuff to come around.

Usually the sturdesses mention what number your baggae will be coming out of. Or better yet just follow the other passengers always a best bet they will know where to go.
