Just Me™

Question. Please answer!?

Okay, so heres the thing. I am traveling to Mexico probably next week. But I need to know something. I'm planning on taking perfumes. About 6 perfumes,( I'm staying on in Mexico for about 2 months and a half) So can I take them. Also, I want to take a backpack on the plane, can I? I might put these inside:
Magazines, book, cds, and money.
Please answer!

Travelers may now carry through security checkpoints travel-size toiletries (3 ounces or less) that fit comfortably in ONE, QUART-SIZE, clear plastic, zip-top bag.
After clearing security, travelers can now bring beverages and other items purchased in the secure boarding area on-board aircraft.
At the checkpoint travelers will be asked to remove the zip-top bag of liquids and place it in a bin or on the conveyor belt. X-raying separately will allow TSA security officers to more easily examine the declared items.
-----------
Each traveler is limited to ONE, QUART-SIZE, clear plastic, zip-top plastic bag of travel-size toiletries (3 ounces or less).
-----------
When possible, keep packing liquids in checked baggage. You will get through security faster

I'm pretty sure you cannot carry the perfume on the plane with you but you can check it with your luggage. call the airline to make sure. yes i think you can take the magazines, cds, money on the plane w/ you, just not any liquids

i don't see why not...

You can put the perfume in your checked luggage. Any liquids that you carry on will have to fit in a quart sized ziploc bag (all of them in one bag). There is a size restriction on the liquids you can carry on as well, they all have to be 3 ounces or less.

You can take a backpack on the plane.

And if you're going to take any types of liquids (aka perfumes) you should to put them in your checked baggage.

Wrap the perfume in papertowels and place them in a zip lock bag then pack them in your suitcase (not your carry on) The back pack can go on as a carry on as long as it fits inside the measurement box that they provide at the airport,. You can also look up the deminsions on the internet for your chosen airlines. The magazines, books, cds and money is no problem.

sure those items are appropriate but dont take anything you dont want X-Rayed

just check in the perfumes and keep them in the middle of your bag to avoid breaking the bottle, the backpack will be fine just don't bring any liquids over 3 oz.

Backpacks are allowed as carry-ons.

However, with the new rules that The Man is enforcing, I'm not sure if bottled liquids are allowed onto airplanes anymore.

Hello, you will be fine taking as many bottles of perfume as u wish Under the plane in your checked baggage. I often bring 10-20 bottles of perfume oil back from the middle east. Your carry on will be fine as well. hope this wells

You can't take perfume, but I'm sure a backpack is fine since it's considered a carry on.

When you get to Mexico, just buy some inexpensive perfume that smells good, but be sure to buy a small enough bottle since it can not come back with you on a plane.

~Monica~
the perfumes should be okay in your luggage (not carry on) and backpacks are permitted as a carry on item

have fun in mexico!

Only put liquids in your suitcase...if you put ANY amount of liquid they will pull you to the side..Mexicans are very suspicious people and becareful of what you do. Things that are not liquids you can bring in your book bag like Magazines and CD's but they will have to scan any elctronics you bring like CD player camera etc. So no liquids in the bookbag only in the suitcase and ok to other stuff

well i went to europe a few weeks ago and they did let me take perfume. do not put it in your carry on because it will be thrown away. you have to put it in your luggage and wrap in a plastic bag. it has to be 4.5 ounces or less other wise the confascate it. also you can bring a backpack as long as it fits in the carry on size check bin near the terminal of your plane, in other words, make it small and dont over pack it. hope that helps =]

Yes, you can take a backpack. Just make sure it's light enough, and don't put anything sharp (i.e. knives, scissors - regardless of size) in it.

You can take liquids, but put them in your check-in luggage, not in your hand luggage.

Have fun in Mexico!

I don't think they will allow you to take that many perfumes. As for the backpack. That will be your carry on so it is fine.
