That sounds unusual, but they are required to inform you whenever any schedule changes are made--and at least they're doing that. I can't tell you how many people I know who showed up at the airport only to find out they're too late because the airline changed the schedule and didn't inform them (but they also didn't phone and check within 72 hours of their departure--so both were at fault). Unless the changes will cause you to arrive more than 4 hours later to your destination, they do not have to offer refund or rebooking on another airline. |

Northwest is notorious for changing their schedule by a minute or so here and there. Legally, they must advise you of the changes, no matter how minor they are.
Airlines typically have 2 schedules...they have a summer one and a winter one. In March/April, they start switching over to their summer schedule. And this is probably what has happened to you...now that they've switched over to their summer schedule, you should be pretty much set with the flight times and numbers.
If you have any concerns though, or you notice that there is a really short connection time or that one flight arrives after the connecting flight is meant to depart, call Northwest and ask them. That's what they are there for, even if they don't always show a willingness to help! |

As others have stated, they must legally notify you of schedule changes. Most of the time the flight time is changed by a couple of minutes but they still have to tell you. I fly close to 100 times a year and this happens only a couple times a year for me so it's not that common, in my experience, but it does happen. I've also never had it happen more than once for a particular flight. But I've had it happen on Northwest Airlines and other airlines as well. So I would say there's nothing weird going on. Northwest Airlines is a reputable airline and is one of the best in the country. |

NWA is pretty much the only airline that operates anywhere near me, and they do this all the time. Particularly since their bankruptcy, they are constantly changing flight schedules--allegedly to save money. A couple years ago I flew out to New York, and the schedule changed seven times between buying the tickets and taking the trip.
In most cases the change isn't terribly important (a few minutes here or there). If it appears to give you too tight of a connection in a hub, though, call the airline and see if they can arrange another itinerary. On my trip out east the final schedule change would have made a 30-minute connection in Minneapolis, but they were able to fix it fairly easily.
The good news is that Northwest is usually quite generous in the flying time they allow, so you're less likely to arrive late than on other airlines. |

So I used the phone and they explained what was going on pretty good. (different airline)
I was satisfied. |

Its not weird... its just a process with the airlines to inform the passengers abt the changes of flight time.... dont worry abt it unless your travel date is near... if travel date is near kindly call the airline and check on it... bcoz if travel date is far then there might be a chance tht there might be a few more changes on the time |

This is normal, especially at this time of the year. Airlines *must* notify you when they change departure or arrival times, even if it is only by 2 or 3 minutes. In the summer, during peak travel season, there are lots of changes made to other routes that may impact your flight, even if it is only slightly. It's nothing to worry about. |

I never had anything like this happen to me but then I never buy my tickets any more than a month and a half in advance.
I would call them on the telephone and see what kind of answer you get out of them.
Evidently they are just in the process of reorganizing some of their flight plans.
Good Luck! |
