Well hello, I just turned 17 and have been flying since i was six. I personally like aisle seats because of the bathroom reasons. sometimes i am lucky enough to sit next to someone that is nice and talkable and i am not so scared to ask for the bathroom but then again there are times that there are some strange people on the plane. I just put my tray table down when i sleep and lay on that to sleep. Bring a pillow with you on the plane since of course it will be a long flight.
what if you have to use the bathroom and the person in the aisle is sleeping? you wouldn't want to wake them, so i think about that also. hope this helps.

i live in europe by the ways to im used to long internation flights also!

personally i would pick the window ! but really , it depends on how much you drink & use the bathroom . also the person will just have to get over it because everyone has to go to the bathroom . they shouldn't be annoyed unless you go like 3 times an hour . always keep peptobismol [ miss spelled sorry ] if you don't fly well . like getting diariae so you do not have to go to the bathrrom constantly :) hope i helped & have fun !

window seat is the best but your moms right you will be asking someone to get up everytime you need too

I find young women usually prefer window. I like the aisle seat myself because I don't like feeling confined. I've no problem getting up to let people out or to help the ladies put their bags in the overhead bin. You'll be fine. Most people are not strange.

Hi,
Im 16 aswell recently i flew by myself out of Australia to Vienna Austria a very stresful time for myself i was worried about the exact same thing and finally figured a way to get by this i was looking at the seating plans for my particular plane which was (A300-330) and choose an emergency exit seat these seats are definatly the best seats in the plane for economy anyway no seats infront of you so you can strech your legs out while sleeping/watching the tv and you just get up to go to the toilet thats like 5m away from you i hope this helps.

I'm with you. I always sit in a window seat on international flights so I can rest my head against the side of the plane. I also take one of those neck pillows. And it's much better to sit in the window and ask someone to move than to sit on the aisle and have to get up all the time to let someone else out, especially if you're sleeping when they need to pee.

It is a once in a life time opportunity.
(Okay Not once in a lifetime but you know)
If you want a window seat; Hell; GET IT(:

window hands down. Aisle seats suck cause you gotta deal with people bumping into you and putting stuff up and it just sucks. and regardless of whether a stranger sitting next to you, im sure they'll let you up whenever. plus there's always the hope theyll never show up.

Uhh yes the best seat is by the window, but its kinda annoying, and it also annoys the person(s) that are sitting next to you if you have to ask them get up right in the middle of your sleep.

Me personally, I get First class, seats are better, you have your own personal space, food is better, movies are better also.

If the first class seats are sold out, I choose domestic seats that is not in the middle or window (i forgot what the seat is called, sorry, its called ailse or something like that, isle something like that...)

Your traveling a long distance plane ehh? Then you will have your own seat with your own mini tv :)
