dont use the outside toilet and you should be o.k.

Everyone says it but it's true - your more lightly to be in an accident on the road than in a plane. Not that that helps me as I hate flying full stop!

The simple answer is that it's probably the safest form of transport.
If it was so dangerous nobody would want to be a pilot and they fly every day for a living and think nothing of it!

P.S. I'm off to Majorca tomorrow BY PLANE!

Luckily for millions of people, wings don't snap off. You might want to try getting some NLP to try and overcome the fear. It also helps to take something to calm you when you fly. Calm's Forte works great and is non habit forming and doesn't require a prescription. One or two will calm you and 3 will help you sleep.

Try the above link. I am a nervous flyer but felt quite relaxed when I flew to Canada recently after going through this free on line course.

Good luck and enjoy the flight.

Before a new plane is allowed to be sold every airplane company must first do a stress test on its wings. This is where they put a HUGE amount of stress on the wings to see how much pressure is needed to snap the wings. Well let me tell you it takes ALOT! of pressure to snap a wing. Wings snapping off in airliners just wont happen. You might see the wings moving up and down alot in turbulance and landing but they are meant to move around so they dont snap off.
FOR all the people that are afraid to fly the best way to get rid of your fear is take some flying lessons or even get your Private Pilot License. Once you fly a few flights in a small 4 seat plane you wont every be afraid to fly a large airliner.

wings won't snap off, just watch out for the gremlins that hang out on the wings :)

I wouldn't worry about it. The forces required to snap the wings off are so great that they would knock you unconscious before the wings could snap off. Fire is a much more serious problem. And even in case of fire, the smoke will more likely get you before the fire. I was on a flight were the turbulence was so bad I could see the wings bouncing like crazy. and this was for 7 hours out of a 9 1/2 hour flight. Stuff came flying out of the overhead compartments, they didn't serve food because the flight attendants couldn't manage the carts, and the plane was going up & down while the pilots sought calmer air. And the worst part of the flight was that all I had to watch "Jingle All The Way". A dark time it was before Ipods and portable DVD players.

It's HIGHLY unlikely that the wings would snap off an airplane. Aircraft undergo thorough, regular maintenance to ensure that all the "nuts & bolts" are tight and everything is okay.

Fires onboard are also rare, but aircraft are equipped with devides to automatically shut down engines, etc. if a fire occurs so there's really nothing to worry about. Pilots & cabin attendants are FULLY trained in safety and there's really nothing to worry about.

Dont worry, the wings will not come off. Airlines are required to keep their planes in good shape or else they will be in trouble and they will lose a lot of business. Also, the wings are pretty strong and pretty attached to the plane so its really really hard to break them off.

You got nothing to worry about. Your very safe on a plane.

A piece of advice that might help......always sit at the back of the plane!

Have you ever heard of an aeroplane reversing into a mountain??????
