Scared to fly.?

I recently developed a fear of planes. I am at college studyin travel and it's ruining my life. Im not scared of crashing or that, but i was talking to a lady and she said that your head can blow up on a plane. I know it sounds rediculous but i had a brain scan and it came back ok but ever since she said that I cant seem to get it out my mind. Can you please help ? Much appreciated x

Have you ever heared that a single pilot had his head burst while he was flying, ((knowing that the most frequent persons who fly are the pilots)), I don't think so.

Beside that, the most strict and up-dated safety measures , are applied in flight operations.

You are more safe in the aeroplane than any other means of transportation.

Not only can your head blow up but sometimes if you flush the toilet you can get sucked out of the airplane if you don't get out of the bathroom fast enough.

Report this to your doctor. He/she can prescribe a medication type called a beta blocker. It is a good anxiety medication that will not have all of the drowsiness of a sedative, also less addictive.

As far as i know, there is no way for your head to blow up on an airplane! In fact, you can't usually get any head or brain damage at all! The worst that can happen is that you can get a sinus headache or an earache if you have a cold or an ear infection. Don't believe that lady who said your head can blow up for a second.

oh tell me about it! i just came back off holiday, and on the way home flying i was so scared i had a blanket over my head and amy winehouse blastin in my ears (it was through my ipod, she wasnt actually there)

that works because if you cant see or hear anything, you dont know your on a plane!

i have a plane fear as well but i have bin flying 7 times a year because my parents split up and my dad lives in india and my mum in england complicated but u no..any way the likleyness of summet lyk dat happening is 1 out of a million every time i get scared i just think well what ever hapens is going to happen u carnt stopit u just have to believe that u wont happen or if that doesnt work just take stuff to do on the plane to occupy u like listen to music or read a book.
