With the prices of oil the way they are should I hold off or buy now?
I am also a little worried if they are grounding so many flights due to fuel cost I will have a hard time getting a ticket for my return flight since it is a week before Christmas. |

Listen to Hi H...he has given the only answer that should be given. The cost of air travel (travel in general) is about to go up drastically. It may be in the form of a "premium" or "surcharge" or it may just be an increased fare. No matter what, the sirlines will very soon have no choice. |

It's always a hard choice. However, it can be extremely difficult to get discount seats around Christmas. They can sell out many months in advance. If airlines go through with their promises to cut capacity, there will be even fewer discount seats available this year and it will be even more difficult to find them.
Given that most airlines are losing horrific amounts of money, it's hard to envision fares coming down significantly unless passenger demand collapses between now and December. |

I feel you. my answer is 50/50. I would say yes, buy the ticket now. Due to it is most of the time cheaper. But then what if they go bankrupt?
I went to N.C. in March and bought a one way ticket from CA, the cost was 222.00 and on the other way back was 234.00. I bought these tickets in a week in advance. The round trip ticket was over 700.00. The only thing about that is you have to go through all the security because on the one way tickets. Don't ask me why. Who knows?
Buy the way, don't fly American Airlines for right now. They charging 15.00 for the first bag and 25.00 for the second. Our economy sucks. Have a good time on your Cruise. |

We went last year at the same time and didnt book our flight til sometime in October. Only because I was looking for a good price. We are in Toronto and when the tax is added to the price it can get costly. I just looked at the price for you and its 334 round trip thats cheap in my opinion. It's hard to say what the prices are going to do but with all the fuel charges and luggage charges I'd be happy with the 334. If you see a price you like snag it!! |

Well thats a tough one because although december 12 is not a big travel day, dec 20 is one of the biggest travel days of the year.
So I would say if the fare looks ok to you, go ahead and book it now. The plane is bound to fill up, thus driving the fare up higher. |
