Should i be scared to ride in an airplane?

It can be a little scary at first.If you know about what happens on a plane, and you get good advice, it won't be that scary!!!

First of all, you probably won't crash.It doesn't happen often at all.

Second of all, use the restroom before you go.The restrooms on the plane, are tiny!!!!

Third of all, bring something to do.It can get a little boring.

Fourth of all, your ears WILL pop, and it is hard to hear for a while.

Don't be nervous!!! Its only an hour flight.

If its only an hour flight, then I'm almost sure you won't crash.If you are flying to a different country, there is more of a chance.

Don't be afraid. Planes almost never crash.

You're more likely to die by getting hit in the head with a coconut.

On a one hour domestic (flight in the same country) you are NOT going to crash. This is because everything is checked up beforehand (fuel, controls, etc.) Of the few plane crashes that occur, I have heard of none that crash on short domestic flights. The crashes normally occur on international flights because there is more time for havoc to occur.

If you're scared, bring a teddy bear to hug all the way and some music to listen to. The flight will be done in no time!!

No, because logically you are more likely to get in a crash in a car then an airplane. Captains who fly airplanes are very skilled. Don't worry most of the time the airplane doesn't crash.

Short answer: It's very safe.

Long Answer: Before I accepted my job that requires a lot of air travel (I'm a family man with 4 kids), I looked at statistics/facts about air safety. Fact is, flying is way safer than driving. I've provided a link to the NTSB website (National Transportation Safety Board). They count all sorts of accidents and deaths from both Air, Highway, Rail, and many others. Searching the NTSB website you'll find facts, not mumbo-jumbo from newspapers and TV.

Plus, an hour flight will go by in a wink, so try to enjoy it!!! Have fun!

Planes are the safest way of travel. There hundreds of thousands of flights daily. They wont let that plane take off if they know their will be problems. Normally bigger jet planes are more safe than say a propeller plane and are also more luxurious. Airlines in America have very good safety records especially Southwest Airlines who has had no fatal accidents in their almost 40 years of operating and offers very low fares.

No, I know it'll be nervy for you, but you've technically got more chance of being run over by a Rhinoceros than crashing as long as it's an airline from a developed country. Having said this I've been on many unheard of airlines, and most have been quite pleasant. Once you're in the air I bet you'll half forget you're even up there! Besides it's great to look out of the window, and think about where you're going. live your life and have fun! I'm a firm believer that when it's your time, it's your time anyway, and there's nowt you can do about it.

Me ToO!!!!!! mom wants me to fly with her to texas 2 go 2 mexico but i am scared so i been tellin her no thanx! lol cause i seen all them crashes and stuff too so yea im tramatized! LoL hahaha. i've never gotten on a plane either. so yeap!

No you shouldnt be. I mean think about it. When you're not on a plane you dont have a smaller chance of something happening to you than when you're on a plane. Its okay...... im not scared at all I LOOOOOVE PLANES!!!!!YAY IM GOING ON ONE IN JUNE!!!!!yay!!!!lol!!! dont worry its okay....
