No. Not unless concealed while on duty. The cross is not just a form of jewelry, but also an instrument of proselyting. When you work in a position that requires a uniform, you need to remain within the boundaries of company rules regarding deviation from the standard uniform, or go look for a new job.
ADDED: Although British Airways allows Muslims and Sikhs to wear headscarves and turbans, those items are required for them by their religion, a cross is not required by any of the multitudes of sects calling themselves Christian. Besides, if you are a true Christian, you don't need jewelry to advertise the fact. |

Why the H not, whether she is a Chritian or not. What's more she is working for England's national carrier and the English monarchy is head of the Church of England which is a Christian religion. |

Of course. Why could she not express herself and wear something that reflects her religious beliefs? I don't think she's insulting anybody. If she were jewish, she would wear a David's star and that would be fine, and so on. |

Yes she should wear what makes her happy.
Reverse religious discrimination is getting ridiculous the world over. Sorry to say this couldn't happen to a Muslim or Buddhist in today's world but Christian women are fair game .
Religious symbols, such as crosses should be worn by individuals and not be subject to politically correct BS. You don't like her jewelry - don't look at it.
Plain and Simple. |

A) YAY for the Constitution. Too bad it's BRITISH Airways.
B) Sure, it's her right to wear the cross, and it's also her right to decide whether to abide by company policy or choose other employment. If she doesn't like the company dress code, she should work somewhere else.
An unpopular position to be sure, and I'm sure I'll get thumbs down for it, but maybe you all should get off your high horse and look at reality. And in this situation, she voluntarily chose to be employed by BA. |

She should be allowed to wear the cross. Yes. Absolutely.
If they allow muslims to wear the veil, thereby offending everybody, and sikhs to wear the turban, why can't others wear their own religious/cultural symbols? And I am not even Christian/Catholic. |
