you don't say where you are going, taking them through security in the uk is fine.
if you are flying with in europe then even if you have one left you should get them through customs when you arrive but if its to the usa or canada or some where exotic then either finish them or bin them.
and to the person who said take an empty bottle and fill it at the drinking fountain at the airport DON'T for the sake of £1 at boots buy it there as I wouldn't drink from them as I have never seen one getting cleaned.
EDIT: in the uk dft rule's apply NOT american tsa rule's don't go for anything here. |

Absolutely! And if you want to save a little money here and there, bring an empty water bottle in your purse, through security with you, and fill it up at the drinking fountain. Ariport water is cold and clean! =) |

Yes, you can take them through security, they just have to be wrapped and have to go through the x-ray like everything else. Here is a link to the TSA Food & Beverages guidelines page:

If you're flying from the UK, food such as crisps and biscuits are fine. Things like veg and fruit are the ones that cause problems since they could potentially cause problems to the vegetation in the country you are flying to.
Take your son's cookies on the flight (it will ensure he has something he will eat if he's likely to turn his nose up at airplane food!) then just bin whatever he doesn't eat instead of taking it off the plane with you so there are no problems with the customs of the country you are flying to (this is especially important if you are going to the States where their customs are a bit like humourless droids). |

i am not quite sure, but as long as they are sealed in their original packaging, i dont see why it would be a problem |

you can take them, but might not be able to get them through security where you land so make sure you eat them on the flight.
If they're millies cookies that shouldn't be a problem! |

If you are flying in the USA or Canada, you will have to throw them out before you go through security. |
