The best UK to USA airline?

In late october this year i will be heading for Canada to live for a year. However i want to fly via the USA as i plan on meeting up with friends in Las Vegas. Ive been pricing up and found that British Airways and Virgin do good deals for me which include a good allowance on baggage and in-flight entertainment etc
I may fly direct to Vegas or to New York and then Vegas booking my own NYC to VEGAS seperatley.
So what airline do you think is best, Virgin or BA?
I normally use Continental and have liked them, but there prices have risen a lot.

Thank you

Virgin Atlantic definitely.

In my opinion they offer a better service, have less chance of losing my bags, and generally make the whole flight a better experience for the passenger.

Both BA and Virgin have back seat in flight entertainment on demand.

Have fun on your travels :)

I've heard really good things about Virgin lately.

Having used both Virgin and BA, I'd say they are both quality airlines. Pick the better deal at the time. Enjoy yourself!

Flown both BA and Virgin transatlantic recently.

BA was much better service
- more professional crew
- wider selection of food
- passengers seemed to be a mix of business and leisure travellers = less children and generally quieter

Virgin crew were more cheerful, and the red socks were nice!

Both had on-demand video systems.

I'd use BA for preference. not just the better service, but also 'cos they have more flights and a worldwide partner network. That means if something goes wrong (delays, cancellations), they have a much better chance of fixing it fast.

Which ever will get you there cheaply, safely without alot of surcharges, and on time is the best! That has been my rule of thumb for years and it has not failed me yet!

also for cheap tickets try this site
also if you book on the weekday instead weekend is cheaper

Best would be First Choice Airways or Virgin Atlantic.

Worst would be British Airways or Delta Airlines.

Virgin Atlantic is fabulously cheap and gives you everything you need for a great flight. There are 3 main 'classes' but even the economy is fab. In my opinion they are better than Continental.

last time my dad used Virgin Atlantic to go to LV, and he was extremely happy with their service:D

Flew Continental recently to CA and it was the 2nd cheapest after Air Canada. No complaints at all apart from having to pay for alchohol (boo hiss!). My daughters (in their 20's) swear by Virgin.

British Airways are good for service, value and overall happiness.

You may have to pay a little more but i would defently say that it's worth it.

:)
