It depends on the airline, but in general the seats aren't any bigger on long haul flights, you'll usually be in a bigger plane, like a 747, 777 or an A340-600 Airbus. Some airlines have an inch or two more room or a more generous seat pitch in economy class, but it's just as cramped as most domestic flights, some airlines have a premium economy seat, but of course it costs more. Where it usually does make a difference is in business or 1st class, the better airlines will have full lie-flat beds in business class and some have what amounts to your own compartment in 1st class, the prices can be astronomical, but if you can get it, it makes flying a whole new experience. This website will show what airline's have the best seats:

What I have learned by experience is that the size and comfort of airline seats do not depend on the length of the flight but rather on the price you are willing to pay.
You can have a look at www.seatguru.com to get an idea of how many comfortable seats the carriers actually offer. |

we went to hawaii , my hubby and i and the seats did pillows and blankets but the seats were about the same and since i am a big girl i had to have a extra strap for me which i aked for very quietly . but if someone in front of you leans back than you are done for ,like the did on the filght we had. my hubby is tall but he keeps in mind not to lean back to take up a lot of room and he was hoping the people in front would think the same as us but that did not happen. see if you can call the air lines and ask that question and if they serve meals too. |

The Boeing 777-400 or 747-800 are the trans-continental carriers. the seats are more comfortable, and the headrest is more comfortable. Fly American Airlines. I flew to India on a 777. It was nice. your own touch screen TV.
So, Yes.
