You can bring hair dye and aerosols in your checked. Carry on stuff has to be three oz. or less, in a bag, handed to security. People bring laptops all the time.

Personal items permitted for carry-on :

Solid Lipstick or Chapsticks

Laptop Computers, cell phones, pagers, handheld devices and cameras

Prescription Medication with Name on Label that matches the Passenger Ticket

Up to 4oz of non-prescription liquid medications, cough syrup, eye drops, contact lens solution or nasal spray

Baby Formula or Breast Milk if traveling with an infant

keep it in your luggage and let it go where all the luggages go but don't bring it with you on board on deck. I tried to bring a water bottle with me and they didn't allow it.

I think you can take hair dye. Not sure though as far as the harddrive, just tell them and they will work with you. You can call ahead to make sure. Just go to their website. There should be a phone #.

I think the hair dye is ok in the checked baggage, and I put an Xbox through the scanner and nothing was erased.

no the harddrive wont be erased, people pass their laptops through their in their luggage, so its fine,
you cant bring any product that contains liquid all down to even water since theirs been events were people synthesized a bomb through mixing certain chemicals and reactive liquids,

i know it sucks, damn terrorism
you can bring electronic appliances, although phones cant be used on the plane since if youre outputing a signal it may interfere with the planes signals,
it actually depends on the model of the plane,
ipods and the such are acceptable,

No problem with the hair dye in checked bags.
And no you will have no problems with your harddrive when going thru the checkpoint.

If you're bringing any liquid--water, body lotion, shampoo, fragrance, etc--it has to be less than 3 oz each in a bottle, put inside a Ziploc bag----this is all if you're going to put them in your carry-on bag. (I learned this the hard way-they threw them all away.) You can put heavier liquid products in your luggage but cannot be brought with you on the plane ride. Your hard drive should not be affected at all by security, ask them first if you're skeptical. Good luck and have fun on your trip! :)

Yes, Im pretty sure you can, because I read a list of stuff and it doesn't matter what is in your bag as lomg as it is not metal or something. My laptop hardrive went through the scanning and it is fine. Hope I helped!
