Forever young

Time wise, whats the longest flight you've been on?

Back in about 79, I flew from Japan to San francisco, USA, that was a long flight. I forget, but I'm guessing about 12 to 16 hours. Not a lot of fun.

Singapore to London - about 13 hours. Incidentally, LA- London is only about 10.5 hours straight, non stop, not 17 hours!

As I recall, it would be SIN-AMS on Singapore, 17 hours (with a baby.) Definitely longer than Narita to SFO, which I have also done.

San Francisco to Hong Kong on Singapore Airlines. Flight was around 13 hours. We stopped there for about 90 minutes and then continued onto Singapore where I had to connect on another SIA flight to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The flight was excellent and I was able to sleep a lot. Probably because my originating flight was out of Cincinnati at 4:00 pm, arriving at SFO around 6:00 pm Pacific Coast Time. I had to wait until 1:20 AM before my SIA flight took off. The problem was that my body was still on East Coast Time so it was wondering why I was still up at 4:00 AM. Plus I had to go to work that day so I woke up at 5:00 AM that morning. Therefore I went almost 24 hours straight without sleeping.

About 17 hours returning to ATL from JNB. You have to stop on some island off the coast of Africa for about and hour, but you are not allowed to deplane.
