My daughter was 15, traveled by herself from Alexandria, LA to Atlanta, GA, then supposedly Providence, RI (blizzard) got to sleep in Hartfort, CT airport. ALL BY HERSELF!
Birth certificate (if you want to bring it) school ID is must
Happy traveling!

It's really not needed, but it's a good idea. If there were a medical problem, he should have some document stating that he can make medical decisions. That _could_ save your life.

You should inquire of a local travel agent about the paperwork you need to travel within the US and outside of the US.

as long as you have your mom and dad's consent I'd think you'd just need your school ID. I sent my son on a plane twice and he didn't need any ID, but he was age 7 and 9 each time and assisted by flight attendants. The only ones who had to show ID were the adults picking him up at each airport.
