We Can Make The Night Last 4Ever

Traveling by Airplane alone for first time?!?!?

In February during vacation I'm flying alone to visit my aunt and uncle in Phoenix Arizona from Maine. I flew there once when I was a sophmore during April vacation with my mom her bf baby brother and little sister. I'm 18 now not 16. I'm afraid of getting lost in the airport because of all the terminals and what not. When I went before we had to go on a monorail(sp) and go up and down escalators elevators stairs. I don't know how to put this into a question.

Like How do I know where I'm going and how to get there and stuff? (I attempted to put it into a question)

If you do get lost just ask a staff member at the airport and they will show you where to go...

another thing you can do is to go online and print a map of the concourses of the airport your flying into and leaving from, find the gate that your departing from and highlight a path that you will take. all airports have signs to read...get there a little early just incase...have a great flight!!

there will be maps around the airport. Go up to someone that works there and ask (just ask multiple people every like 20 feet. lol. Also, you could ask to have someone escprt you from terminal to terminal. I have had this issue ebfore and it is SCARY not knowing where to go! Best thing I have found though is to just ask...lots of people...lots of times! haha or anytime you are confused where to go!!

Don't worry! just look for signs and ask for directions if necessary. Sky Harbor International airport is not difficult at all. If you fly into Terminal 4 at the end the bagage claim areas are info desks. The baggage claim area is on the 1st floor. If you fly into any other terminal, at the entrance of the security checkpoints, there are volunteers and workers that can direct you if you feel nervous about where you are going. Terminals 2 and 3 are pretty easy to get through. Don't fret! There's directories and people and signs in the elevators. You'll be fine!

Good luck and happy traveling!

this is a great question. Don't worry dude, you're not gonna get lost... If you ever get the feeling that it's your first time flyin, it's alright. There are tons of people out there who's flying for the first time. Ask people who are working for the airport. They should know the place like the back of their hands.

It is very scary to have to go by yourself but it isn't hard. Mostly intimidating.

Simply ask for help from employees.

There are signs everywhere.

If your really worried ask your mom to get a buddy pass and help you to the gate. You can get one at the kiosk (where you check in).

Don't worry, worst case scenario is probably not all that bad!

Good luck!

Best thing to do is ask an airport employee. They can either show you where to go or point you to a map of the terminal. If they have time, they can walk with you to your desitination.

If you have a connection flight, before you leave the airplane, the flight attendant will give you the flight and gate number that you should be on. Sometimes they don't give you enough time to go from one gate to another. Other time, they give you plenty of time. Ask the attendant or check out the monitor when you get off the plane. Don't wander too far from your gate because you may miss the next flight. You should wait for them 'cause they won't wait for you if you don't show up on time when it's the time for departure.

They have signs everywhere. Most of the time the terminal has only one airline (unless a small airport) You can't get lost.

If the connection flight gate is too far, hop on the electric car or use the automatic train which operates every couple minutes. Don't walk.

I flew out of the country all the time and I never get lost. You can do it.

I flew for the first time by myself when I was 18 too. It is a little intimidating, but if you need to know where to go, all you have to do is ask. Just relax, and get to the airport a little early. You will be fine. Bring an Ipod, or something, it can be kind of boring waiting by yourself...
