Travelling in aircraft wearing a suit?

Hi all! I need to travel in an aircraft (short duration - 1hour) wearing a suit in Economy class. Have never travelled wearing a suit and never observed what people did when they were dressed up in my previous flight journeys. My question is should I ask the air hostess to keep my coat and take it back when the plane lands or Should I wear the complete stuff for the duration(1hr) of the flight..

Basically I don't want to look like an idiot.

Can you guys please respond fast. I have a plane to catch tomorrow :)

No problem at all in wearing and travelling throughout. it will indeed present you as a professional to everyone else over there.

Wrinkling is undoubtedly a great issue, but if you can manage that then go ahead. You may also put off your blazer and place it on your lap to prevent the wrinkling of the same.

Feel your ease, there 's certainly nothing to do with Idiot and all.

Wish you a happy safe and pleasant journey.

If they do have a closet, or place to hang coats, these are reserved for the first class passengers. If you ask very nicely, they may be willing to hang it for you. Otherwise, like everyone else said, simply fold it in half, and then in half again, and place it in the overhead bin or on your lap.

ok

Angel ! in Silver !!
Crew wont store clothing in this day and age you have to keep it on your lap,,,

The flight attendants do hang the jackets up in business class but you are in economy, not the same level of service. If you ask she may end up looking at you like you're crazy. Most people in coach who take off their jacket either put it in the overhead bin, or keep it in their laps.

don`t annoy the Hostie to do some-thing that you can do for your-self!
simply remove the Coat and fold it in half (length-wise and then again width-wise and place it in the `over-head` locker , your-self.
this does not distract the Hostie from her Regular duties (in-flight) and it also saves you the Embarrassment of having a wrinkled Coat when you land at your destination.

every-body forgets to remove the Coat and it does NOT give a good Impression to the Person you are going to Greet if you are "coated" in wrinkles.

it`s a simple thing to do and a simple thing to remember , for your next Travels.
and you can also un-do the very top button on your shirt to make you feel a little more Comfortable during the flight.
Relax and enjoy and don`t forget to retrieve your Coat and to re-do the top button.

wear the jacket, or hold it babe. she isnt a maid. enjoy the (short) flight.

Wear your suit and coat. If you get to warm, take it off and keep it on your lap- it's only 1 hour, after all.

You have a few options:

1. Best choice is to ask the flight attendant to hand you jacket up

2. Many business travelers neatly fold their jacket up and put in in the overhead compartment - you risk wrinkles or some wanker putting his luggage on top.

3. Wear it! - Also risks wrinkling, but you'l know where it is at all times.

luckyman13
i would ask the air hostess to take your coat becuase most people wear t shirts on flights.
