Singapore Airlines is usually excellent in terms of service and safety. Qantas (there is no 'u' in Qantas as it is an acronym for the original company name which is Queensland and Northern Territory Air Service) is suffering from an aging fleet of planes and unhappy staff. Qantas is still superior to most US based airlines but I find the Asian based airlines are superior in service and comfort.

Fine, although Quantas perhaps has the edge, but then I flew club class that time. However, both fine if you are going to Australia. No problems with them at all.

i've travelled last year with singapore airlines to new-zealand and the year before to australia and they are fantastic ....no problems with baggage on tranfers and the staff are really nice. food is great and plentiful...if you stop off in singapore there is a free tour bus provided by singapore airlines ask at the sia helpdesk.....hope you have a nice trip

Singapore Airlines are absolutely fantastic, I would highly recommend them to anyone, the on-board staff will do anything to make your journey better for you, the food is wonderful, all alcoholic drinks are included in the ticket price, even in economy and you can have as many drinks as you like, snacks and coffee are free flowing too, both my hubby and I are tall, I'm 5ft 10in and my hubby is 6ft 1in and both of us had plenty of room to stretch our legs out, the seats are very comfy, you get flight socks and a toothbrush given when you board, a pillow and blanket are provided too as are earphones and newspapers, the toilets are very well equipped with shaving equipment for men and freshening up products for both men and women, they even have free combs in the toilets in case you've forgotten yours, I would definitely fly with Singapore Airlines again anytime.

I love Singapore Airlines....much better than Malaysian for service and food adn have the latest in seat entertainment technology (on my fligths anyway) where you can stop, pause, rewind dvds. i liked the food and didnt on malaysian. The only thing I didnt like was the times they fed you on a flight from London to Singapore....there was a huge gap between lunch and 'dinner' which was provided as breakfast as this was local time so my body said ok lunch was at 1pm ( when we took off) and the next meal wasnt given till the equivelant of 11pm!! The only snacks available were sweet things too like chocolate bars and ice creams. No savoury nibbles. But on the whole great

Personally myself I am a Singapore Airlines Krisflyer PPS member and would fly with no other airline if I could. I do seem to have flown with most in the past 20 years. Some I rate, some I don't. Unfortunately some of the destinations I travel to, SQ don't fly to. But I can always get part way with them, and then transfer to another airline at a hub point to complete the journey.
SQ certainly aren't cheap, but they don't treat you cheap either. The service is first rate, most of the girls are 'off the cat walk' standard, polite and courteous, will look after you totally whatever class you fly, and if you can possibly afford it fly Raffles class and be pampered. Luckily all my company flights are business class, and I make any personal flights over 2hrs duration the same if I'm flying SQ.
Yes, home for me is Singapore, and having a marvellous airline like SQ is just the icing on the cake.

singapore airlines is among the top 5 international airlines, everything is really great, the seats, the service, the entertainment, the food, you'll love it.

Remember flying Quantas, they had funny middleaged flight attendants but the service was quite long and unorganized.
